Just noticed that the Sun £9.50 hols are out next week. We have friends who have done this religiously every year and have reported back some good hols to France and Spain. Not sure im convinced - I would like to get a good cheap holiday but not if we end up in substandard accom.

Im sure people on here would give some brutal advice!!

We did it once for a 3 night stopover at Croix du Vieux Pont north of Paris. The mobile belonged to one of the major uk operators (Eurocamp or Canvas etc) and it was the same as booking with the operator but cheaper.

If you want to suss out who the operator is, compare the sites offered with those on the operators' websites. I wouldn't expect anything other than the most basic accommodation - any upgrade would be a bonus. Ours had a deck, we were delighted easily pleased.

Did it for camping in Spain. (Pre-pitched tents). Loved it. But had very low expectations so wasn't disappointed.

We went to Holland on the Sun holidays, it turned out to be with eurocamp. All the caravans were standard, we didnt upgrade. We had a bbq and a deck. The site was Duinrell, which was a theme park type place. We drove there from Calais which took about 5 hours in traffic. Definitely recommend.
