Hi, I am thinking of moving to Faversham, after living in Croydon for 15 years. I've found a suitable school for my 12 year old son, but need to find somewhere in the Faversham (or close proximity) areas to live. Will be renting initially. It's hard to decide because I don?t know anyone living in this region of Kent - I'm making my first visit to Faversham this weekend. I would appreciate any advice/tips/recommendations. Looking for somewhere that?s not too remote, close to shops, post office etc and with a community feel. I will be uprooting from scratch - a journey into the unknown really.

Many thanks

I've never done this but I'd look up some estate agents on the internet before you go (use the postcode of the school eg and then find properties close to it if that's an issue for you) - upmystreet.com has lists you can click on about the local area eg crime statistics, house prices. good luck!
