Where to stay in LA with a 3 year old?

We're looking for a family friendly hotel with a pool and parking in LA. We're doing Anaheim and Disney before our LA stop to cut down on driving.
Any recommendations?

LA is a huge sprall of many smaller and interconnecting cities (around 100 in total).

Are you intending to drive north from Anaheim to make another stop in the greater Los Angeles area?. If so I would look at Santa Monica. If you're driving south after Anaheim then I would look at somewhere like Newport Beach or Huntington Beach.
