Avignon or Marseille?

Going by Eurostar to south of France in August with a 2 year old & 4 year old. Should we get off the train in Avignon or Marseille? Where would be best for a relaxing weeks break with little ones? Any tips on villages or cottages/hoteks to stay at? On a low budget sadly !

Le Grau du Roi is lovely for seaside holidays. There's a holiday village, hotels, beach is fabulous for kids. Go on trip advisor or holiday lettings. You won't need a car whilst you're there if don't plan to travel about.

If you're not worried about the beach, look at trip advisor for lettings and holiday lettings. Youll need a car though.

When are you going? As soon as you decide, book a car and check they have one first because one year Avignon ran out ( was high season though and the arts festival was on:)

I also meant to say if you're price driven, look at accomadtion first. Then decide where to get off.
