Week away mid September

DH and I are looking at taking our Dd, who will be 21 months, away for a week in September.

First time in taking DD on a plane so only want something short haul like Spain or Portugal.

Ideally looking for self catering but if price was right would look at other options.

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel that has a nice splash area for DD to be entertained with??

If you're looking at self catering, what about an apartment? I live in Carvoeiro in the algarve, lots of nice apartments close to the beach/restaurants etc with communal pools
