Brittany - breaking a journey near Rennes

I'm looking for a good place to break our journey, have some lunch and allow 20-month DS to stretch his legs a lot near Rennes. We'll be travelling north towards the ferry port at Roscoff. I'd rather avoid travelling into Rennes centre if we can avoid it.
