Recommendations of weekend breaks from London Gatwick please

Looking for a 3 night break flyingfrom London Gatwick. What's the best place you have been? Thanks

Lisbon is lovely and was reasonably priced when we went a couple of years ago. We flew from Heathrow but I imagine there are direct flights from Gatwick.

Well you can get to pretty much anywhere from Gatwick! What are you looking for - hot / beach / cooler / city break?

Marrakech is wonderful!

Venice, you can fly Thurs evening and come back Sun afternoon.
Short transfer from Marco Polo to the city using Alilaguna 16 Euro each just over one hour to San Marco.
So much do and see 3 days is not enough but is lovely and you can walk everywhere.

Rome, most beautiful city I have ever been to. It made my cry !

I need to go back to Rome. I saw it with kids in tow and I liked it much more than Paris. But now Venice won my heart (spent 10 days there 2 weeks ago).
