Cheap holiday with 15 & 8yr olds?

Hello! Newbie here, so apologise if I'm doing things wrong Grin

The question is in the title really, does anyone have ideas for a cheap holiday?

DD is 15 and DS 8. Obviously, the age gap is quite big so it is hard for us to find holidays which suit both! DD can't swim (not sure if it is relevant) and DH and I aren't very active! Price would be preferably under £1000 (we are going long haul for Christmas break) in UK, or £1500 max abroad. Somewhere where it is very easy to get around by public transport, or by foot.

Any ideas would be much appreciated! Smile

A few nights in London. Stay at a Travelodge. Go to the zoo, the museums, see a play etc. Spend the money you've saved on flights and expensive hotels on nice meals out. Maybe go to the Harry Potter Studio Tour.
