Surfing lessons Northern Spain?

DS (15, Y10) is studying GSCE Spanish accelerated over 2 years, and so is keen to get some practice in by going to Spain this summer... Thinking of taking him ( by ferry) to Bilbao or Santander and staying somewhere nearish where he can also do some surfing ( but will need lessons as prob just him & me the way the dates work out)
Grateful for any suggestions....

Noja? Big surfing beach there. I couldnt recommend a surf school but there were hire shops on the beach front. It may be worth asking on a surfing forum.

Zurriola is one of the best, or San Sebastian would also be lovely for you.

I did surfing lessons in San Sebastian and it was affordable and in English and lovely. Pukas surf school (in both towns)
