Day out between Coventry and Leicester with young kids

I'm meeting my friend on Monday and need day out suggestions. We'll meet half way between both of us which is between Coventry and Leicester, around the M69.
Her children are 2.5 years and 6 months. Looks like the weather will be good so maybe a farm park or outdoor activity?

Coombe Abbey is a nice country park and just off the m69 Coventry end.
