Last holiday before school

So my mind is turning to next year when it'll be our last opportunity to take term time holidays before ds starts school in the september of 2016. I want to make the most of it and do a holiday which will probably be beyond our budget if done in peak season.

Will have 4.5 and 2 year old dc, and we're definitely not beach holiday people (both kids dislike water) preferring exploring and good food - but not too rough and ready!

Any ideas? Budget possibly around 3k for 10 days or so.

Our DS is the same school year and we're doing Florida- Orlando and Sarasota :)

What's your plan? And how old are yours? :)

As a side note, many schools are still authorising leave in term time so don't rule out completely. Ours authorizes 2 weeks still.

Also, fines don't kick in until you get 5 full days off school usually so even if you take 4 days, nothing will happen, even if unauthorized.

Makes it easier to add holidays onto the start or end of school breaks.

Sorry just seen this, we just have DS who is 3 this week.
Plan is 12 nights in an Orlando villa doing Disney etc and 7 nights at the gulf coast doing beach stuff.
V excited!

Feeling despondent after checking flight prices - £3k and that's with dd as an infant still! Hmm, back to the drawing board :(
