If you could go anywhere for one-nights...?

Where would you go?

In two weeks I have the opportunity to go anywhere for one or two nights. Eurostar or flying from London.

I'm not well travelled so I was hoping for some suggestions?

Paris, Venice, Rome, Florence, Barcelona, Madrid, Nice, Vienna, Berlin, Amsterdam- all highly recommended, but for 2 nights! Fly out early and get back as late as you can to maximise time there. Except for Paris where Eurostar is best.

Venice would make a lot of sense as you can get the waterbus straight from the airport into the city - a great start to the holiday. (Not the airport in the sticks used by somelow cost airlines.) Finding a hotel at short notice might be tricky but not impossible. You need a short flight for maximum time there or use Eurostar to Paris as there is no waiting around at the airport - city to city and quick.

Thank you for your suggestion! I had a look at flights but I couldn't get the times I wanted so I'm driving to Bruges instead.
