Dirty weekend in Brighton!

DH has promised me a dirty weekend in Brighton at the beginning of December. My parents are having the kids, the dogs are booked into kennels, a friend is looking after the guinea pig, neighbours are feeding the cats....... but we don't know where to stay! I've just done a quick look through some booking website which showed a grand total of three hotels with availability that weekend - none of them looked that great to be honest.

I just wondered if any of you had any experience of hotels/bed and breakfasts etc in Brighton and if you were prepared to recommend anywhere! Budget is a little restricted, ie looked at the Hotel Pelirocco and gulped loudly at the £250 per night for the weekend in their Durex Play suite!!!

Suggestions for somewhere to stay (not what to do ) gladly received.....

The Queen's Hotel is supposed to be nice. From £79 for a double room

The Lansdowne is supposed to be lovely, likewise Drakes which has one of the best restaurants in Brighton so you wouldn't have to go too far from the bedroom!

Also, this place has only just opened - Sea Spray but I'm not sure if it's as nice

the Neo Hotel is very nice and quite reasonable.

I second Drakes - really lovely, but more expensive.

oops, sorry didn't read that you'd already looked at the Pelirocco.

I think the Hilton is quite reasonable but not sure how romantic it is. (sea view rooms are a bit more).

Which is the hotel with the lovely bath in the window overlooking the sea?

Not sure what it will be like, but we've left it so late we couldn't get into Hotel du Vin, Pelirocco, or various others.
