Not particularly worried about the risk of DVT
Wondered if I'd be more comfy

Hey TB - how are things going? -
I used flight socks when I flew to NY at about 5 or 6 months pg - didn't have swollen ankles when we arrived, but I honestly don't know if it made a huge difference otherwise - I guess it's more important if you are worried about DVT - happy travels.

how far ?

I flew to aus from UK when 20 weeks pregnant - did not use the stockings - found them uncomfortable.. just made sure i got up and wandered around every hour or so. found that helped along with lots of water.

Broody as all hell, but want to get through xmas and New Year before launching myself at the whole TTC thing

Only flying to NY, I'll be 24 weeks

I already have the stockings from an op earlier in the year

Hi TheBlonde, Hope you are off somewhere exciting!
I flew to south africa from scotland when I was 5 months pregnant and I didn't wear flight socks on the way there, and my ankles seemed to get really swollen even though I was walking around all the time (esp back and forth to the toilet!). I bought some sock for the flight back and I think they helped a bit, but I took them off half way through the flight as I felt like they were cutting off my circulation and they were making my legs really hot and sweaty!
I would buy some to take with you, and see how you get on. Hope you have a good trip!

Hi I flew to Thailand when I was 16 weeks pregnant with twins and bought some flight support socks to wear. I'm not sure if they made any difference but I still wear them every time I fly. They're comfortable to wear once I've got them on and my feet don't swell. Good luck.
