Norwegian Spirit v's Royal Caribbean?

Hi, looking for some help please! ideally looking at Royal Caribbean for summer 2016, but have been presented with a really good itinerary for the Norwegian Spirit; Barcelona, Toloun, Naples, Rome, Mykonos, Istanbul, Venice ... All appeals but not sure about the ship, we will be a large party of 15, 7 of which kids aged 4-12, has anyone been on this ship? Thoughts?

Other options presented to us is RC brilliance of the seas and visions of the seas, would we need to compromise itinerary for ship?

Mixed reviews on cruise critic!

Any experiences and advise much appreciated, thank you.

The norwegian spirit will have less things for the family to do as its one of NCL's slightly older ships. What are the other itineraries?

Thanks nmg85 Norwegian has been eliminated as has the smaller ships, we've now narrowed it down to RC Independece of the seas or the new Harmony of the seas!

RC all the way!

I am sure you will have a great time whichever you choose :-)

We went on a royal Caribbean cruise last year. Ages 1 to 80. Everyone was catered for and we all had a fab holiday.

Another vote for RC here, though we've only been one 1 cruise with them and 1 with Carnival before, so we're not exactly experienced.

My folks live near a major port and, as they are retired, often take advantage of last minute deals on cruises. They rate RC the best.

Thank you all, just coming back to say we have booked onto the RC Independence of the Seas, it's one of their bigger ships! We compromised ship size for itinerary but itinerary still good! Very excited, I just hope none of my family fall out and no one goes overboard!!
