Good reStaurants in New York with kids

hi, anyone got any suggestions of good restaurants in New York preferably theatre district type area or easy to get to from there,for early dinner with kids, good food but children welcome, dh is a foodie. Also anywhere you can go for cocktails or nice drinks bit children welcome.
We already have brunch plans for the Sunday so not brunch.

Not sure about savory food, but we popped in to Ellens Stardust Diner for cake. They were massive and delicious! Great fun, as all the waiters sing.

We used to live in NYC. I love love love Dukes in Murray Hill - not sure it ticks the foodie box but great BBQ style diner. Generally full of locals after work, not touristy.

Also Lombardi's for amazing pizza.

Personal favourite NYC restaurant seems to have closed which is a shame!

There are lots of very touristy restaurants around the Theatre District - you won't go too far wrong with any of them for feeding kids, but venture a bit further afield and you'll find greatness!
