Feb Halfterm - Sunshine wanted!

We're not going away this year so are looking to go away at Feb halfterm, and looking for some sunshine. 2 adults and 2 dc 5 & 3. We've looked at AI and it's coming out at about £5,000 for a naice hotel in the Canaries. In reality we'd like to spend £3,000 on the week.

Any suggestions of hotels I've missed in the Canaries or alternative destinations that will give us some sunshine. We don't mind travelling long haul but we can only go for the week.

TIA

The Canaries is the obvious destination - 5K is terribly expensive though! We've been there around 5 or 6 times and have never paid even half that.

Bit further than the Caneries, but wr did Florida in feb half term and it was beautiful weather. Not too hot (around 27 degrees) and hardly any rain that time of year. We got flights for £2000 and then a villa.

We paid £1700 for a week all inc. and including flights to Lanzarote. Stayed in a lovely quiet part, nice hotel etc. And I'm fussy!

Egypt is guaranteed sun and is much cheaper than the canaries. We went this feb half term and granted we only booked 2weeks before but we paid 1500 for a great hotel. We are going again in May half term and that was £2500 and we booked a year ago. Temps in feb were 25-27 degrees.

Might be a bit late to respond, but you may not get great weather at Feb Half term in the canaries, this year they were around high teens, so I think you'd need to look at another destination for guaranteed sun.

Thanks all, we're desperate for some sun (especially after the lousy weekend weather), so will look at Egypt.

Lanzarote was freezing cold and wet when we went at the end of Feb this year. Sad
