Try clearing the cookies on your web browser. I looked at flights and then went back to look again later in the day. The flights had increased in price. Went home and looked at home on different computer and found the lower prices!

If anything long haul flight prices increase the nearer it gets to departure day (particularly for direct flights).

we went to Vancouver last July. flew in there and out from Calgary so that we could visit the rockies in between. clear all your cookies and look at someone like ebookers. but, we found that the price just went up and up I am afraid so book sooner rather than later and be as flexible as you can with who you fly with and where to. consider the states and a transfer in? if you message me I can give you all of our holiday details. 3 weeks western Canada with 3 teens.

I've seen some cheap flights to Vancouver on Holiday Pirates recently not sure if they are the dates you need though. Worth a look though.

Take a look at flights to Seattle- they are usually cheaper (something to do with aviation fuel tax in US rather than Canada) and is v quick and early to get from Seattle to Vancouver. When I did it we got a boat between the two.

ggirl allow at least 2 days to travel from Calgary to Vancouver and include an overnight stop somewhere half way. mr google and his maps are very helpful when planning this.

ggirl · 28/04/2015 08:40

Thanks mummymeister- think we've decided to fly to vancouver ,not enough time to spend travelling from calgary and it would cost to hire a car so negate the saving anyway.

Have you tried the canadian airline?

we have used aircanada on a few occasions and found them to be so much cheaper than using UK airlines.

rookiemere · 28/04/2015 17:31

Hi,
When I started looking for this summer back last June, the Air Transat prices on the Canadian Affair website went down dramatically the last 2-3 weeks before going and that's in July and August.

Disclaimer: that was last year, and I have no idea if they will do the same this year and it's a big gamble to leave it so late.

ggirl · 29/04/2015 23:14

thanks , god have just spent a small fortune , booked with air canada...too risky to leave until last moment
anyway done now ..family reunion awaits !! {
