We love that part of Tenerife, we stayed in the Iberostar Anthelia which was fab,but there are some other nice looking 4/5 star hotels. Just make sure you aren't too far from the beach.

Have a look at Hotel Villa Maria (here). It is more affordable than most 5-stars and very good for kids.

Thank you,
Anthelia came out quite expensive Def keep eye on it thou....
Hotel villa maria looks great thank u, Just a couple of Qs/things to look into first....
Is it near to beach? Is it close to town/pubs/restaurants outside complex?

Have you look at the Sheraton, the big pink one? That's right by a nice beach. We used to drive down there and park down the side of the Sheraton and use the beach there.

VivaLeBeaver · 23/04/2015 12:36

found it

Anthelia is pricey, sadly a little too much for us these days.
Hotels in good locations:

  • Bahia Del Duque, but ultra expensive and aimed at oligarchs
  • Sheraton La Caleta looks nice
  • Riu Palace and Riu Arecas are both well situated as is
  • H10 Costa Adeje
  • One thats a little more of a walk to the beach but gets good reviews and isn't too pricey is Isabel Family Hotel.

We've always gone B&B or S/C. There's a large selection of restaurants, some are high end like La Torre Del Mirador, but if you start walking left towards Playa de las Americas, then prices and standards come down. Because of the age of your DCs it might be nice to be H/B.

We've also stayed at the Regency Country Club. It's nowhere near the beach but they have a regular shuttle bus. The have lovely apartments with a restaurant on site and various entertainment, a mini golf course and small kids club - very relaxing even when DS was a lot younger.

I stayed at Riu Palace for 2 weeks about 5 years ago. It was not spectacular, but certainly very nice. I remember the wine being horrendous though. The children's clubs and activities were good for my DS, who was 6yo at the time
