We are off to Florida for the first time at the end of May with 2 dc 13 and 11. We have fast passes which I am told I should be booking. What should I go for??? Also we have dining passes. Are there any restaurants we should also prebook. Am not used to doing so much planning for a holiday!!!

buy the book WDW for kids. they have touring plans and info on every ride and every restaurant. with teens who hated queueing we found this book invaluable.

My kids are younger so we will be going for different fast passes to what yours want but the app my disney experience is great for listing rides, height details, wait times, restaurants, etc and you should get a lot of info there. My oldest likes the thrill rides and so far I've got space mountain and big thunder mountain at magic kingdom. At Epcot, there is mission space and at animal kingdom, expedition Everest. We are not on a Disney dining plan but have heard it's highly recommended that you book some restaurants before going. I have heard good things about teppanedo at Epcot (the chef cooks at your table) which we quite fancy.

Toy Story Midway Mania at HS - fantastic fun for the whole family not jsut thrill seekers
Soarin' at Epcot - again, fun for all and really amazing.
You won't have done anything like these rides in the UK

Are you on the full DDP? If so I'd book your table service restaurants, it can be hard to get walk ups. We had a weeks dining plan last year and for two nights doubled credits and ate at Signature places - Yachtsmans steakhouse and Hollywood brown Derby. Both were lovely. Ohana at the polls median is great especially if you have hungry teens and like meat. We also liked TRex (not fancy but teens liked it), Cotal Reef, 50s prime time, lots of nice places in the different countries at Epcot- teppan edo in Japan, China, Mexico all good. Also, grand Floridian cafe is a bit of a hidden gem so you may get a reservation there. Yak and Yeti in animal kingdom is also good.

Rides: mine are the same age as yours and love:

Magic Kingdom- space mountain, big thunder mountain, splash mountain. Also pirates of the Caribbean, haunted mansion, buzz lightyear
Animal kingdom - Everest, dinosaur, the Kilimanjaro safari
Epcot- test track, soarin
Hollywood studios- tower of terror, toy story mania, rock n roller coaster

Have fun!!
