Taking a buggy abroad?!?

Hello everyone,

I'm going away in June to Turkey from Gatwick and I need to take a buggy for my son. Not a big travel system, just a cheap and cheerful one (lightweight).

I have no idea about the rules of a buggy as luggage though? I assume I will just pay extra? Thank you in advance! Xxx

Depends on the airline, we're flying with ryanair on Monday and get 2 pieces of baby equipment for free which includes a buggy. We've got a maclaren for holidays.

We've always taken buggys on airplanes. You get a tag when you check in then leave it at the gate. In a few weeks we are flying easyjet I think they only allow one piece of extra baggage for babies so that's fine for the buggy. We just have an O'baby one.
