Thailand....with dds and dps...looking for ideas

We are looking for a family friendly beach holiday for Xmas. Dds are 3,9 and dps are mid 60s, fairly fit and are non drinkers. Our priorities are beautiful beaches, nice hotel and good food.
We will be flying from Asia and they will be flying from NA, so we need somewhere fairly easy to get to from a major airport.
Dh and I have spent a lot of time in Thailand, but most of that was in the north or when dd1 was small. I think things have changed a lot!
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

It's going o be busy!
I'd look at Australian Groupon/Scoopon as there are stupidly cheap deals for Thailand.
We went for 8 days in Phuket for $900.
Maybe fly into Bangkok and then head to Changmi? Maybe do a few days in Cambodia too?
I'd stay away from James Bond and Phi Phi Islands if you head to Phuket. They have been trashed by too many tourists, you see nothing in the water and there can be 1000 people on the beach at once in the low season.

Thanks. We don't really have time to go north, or to Cambodia, we will save these for another trip.

I am looking for beach suggestions. We live overseas and want this to be relaxing time for the dds and the gps.

TIA

Phuket is easy to get to via HK or possibly direct from shanghai. We have stayed at indigo pearl in the north of the island which is about 10 mins from the airport. This is a quiet area with small beach restaurants and no clubs or bars.
