Car Seats Abroad

Hello

I am travelling to Portugal with an 18m and a 3 year old, and it seems impossibly expensive to hire car seats.

I am thinking of getting my 3 year old a trunki seat as he is over 15kg, but is there an equivalent for an 18m old? Or is the only solution to take her car seat with us?

If anyone has any ideas then please let me know!

as I understand it the little one cannot use a Trunki (although it is better than nothing) so needs a proper car seat. But the Trunki will be ideal for the 3 year old and should last a long time.
