What sort of stuff should I take for a Centre Parks type holiday?

I've got a a horrible feeling that I'm going to overlook something obvious. What sort of things would you suggest? So far, I'm thinking swimwear & towels; DDs scooter and balance bike; food basics (bread, butter, marmalade, tea, coffee, sugar, wine). What have I not thought of??

Washing up liquid. And I'd take a weekly shop personally, not just basics. The shop is expensive. Football / swimming toys. DVDs for the evenings when the children have gone to bed exhausted at 6pm. Wellies.

Raincoats.unbellas. Bird food. All kitchen essentials.

Logs for fire, they're really expensive in the shop, salt, ketchup, tea towels.

Ooh, thanks for the quick responses.

I definitely hadn't thought of most of those!

I second the weekly shop. If by chance you are going to Whinfell (I used to work there) there's a Morrisons and Sainsburys just off the roundabout in Penrith and lots of people would call in for a shop before arriving. The onsite shop is limited and v expensive. Disposable BBQs as they are about a tenner onsite. Rainy day activities as the indoor activities can get very busy when it chucks it down. I once met a family who took a few new toys (bubble wands, hoola hoop and swimming toys) to ward their kids off the toyshop there. They were seasoned centerparcs pros!

A sharp knife if you're doing cooking. The lodges are well equipped but the knives are blunt! Also fire logs, snacks for kids for after swimming as they're pricy at the shop by the pool. I also take most food with me. Have a great time!
