Getting photo signed for renewing passport

Went to get passports today in Newport but couldn't get mine as I hadn't had the photo signed as it was a renewal but as it was a long time ago it wasn't on the system so now have to drive 300 odd miles tomorrow to Peterborough just cos I didn't have a little squiggle! Annoyed doesn't cover it!

It is frustrating when you realise you haven't filled out the documentation correctly. The post office offer w checking service for a small fee, that's normally for postal applications though. Hope you get it sorted in time.

Even if you begrudge paying the Post Office checking service it is always worth asking someone else to read through the application to look for anomalies. I checked someone's form recently and they had used their maiden name on their child's application!

I recently renewed my passport, the old one was done 12 years ago.
I didn't need to get the photo signed even though I thought the new photo made me look about 30 years older than I am. I do still have the same hair style though.

I've just renewed mine via their online service & I didn't need to get my picture signed. Hope it's not too long a day for you tomorrow!

Yes got it sorted, just! Was sooo tired driving back. It was horrendous! They wanted to make me another appointment as I couldn't remember when and where I saw my last passport as it was so long ago.
