Jet2 holidays - anyone used them

I am currently spending hours looking for a holiday for me, dh and 2 dds.

I have seen a hotel that I like the look of however it is too expensive with Thomson and Thomas Cook however jet2 also have the hotel for £800 less for one week. I am concerned about why it is cheaper and I iabe read about jet2 double booking.

Does anyone have experience of jet2 holidays? I have flown with them to lanzarote before and we were happy with the flight just not sure about the package.

I went with them last year and they were fine. Actually I've never heard of them overbooking?! I booked with them purposely because on the beach etc all overbook and we didn't want ours getting cancelled?! Do check reviews though as they tend to sell the holidays which get very mixed reviews.

Thanks for the reply. A friend had said not to book with on the beach down to overbooking but then I found some reviews about jet2 as well so maybe that was just a couple of one offs.

I am obsessed with trip advisor so always read that before booking, I noticed jet2 seem to have a lot of hotels that Thomas Cook do but at cheaper prices.

I went to Ibiza with them last year as a package, had a great time. Flight was fantastic, very smooth transfer and loved the hotel. I've used them solely for flights before and had no problems with them either.

Been with them twice and going again this year, always best prices. Their call centre staff were really clued up and helpful as well. No problems whatsoever although in flight food choices were grim, but I think they all are.

Great that's what I wanted to hear. I can get booking now Smile

We went with Jet2 last year and they were excellent. I also found that the plane had a little more legroom than other economy options.

DD started to feel unwell on the flight home and the flight attendants were brilliant with her.

I've flown Jet 2 a few times, but not booked a holiday. I just book a hotel separately.

We booked a package with them had had a great experience, flight was on time, transfers were smooth and the accommodation was lovely. I would use them again, came up cheapest and with a generous baggage allowance.

We've been with Jet2, flights only and package holidays. 1st place I look now.

What Justmuddling along said. Done both flights and holidays and they are great! Much better than other budget airlines.

Went to Venice with them few weeks ago previously Rome & Florence Madrid Barcelona all long w/e brilliant. Tried to cost it myself - flight + same hotel no where near their costings.
Never had problem of double bookings.
