Car seat on plane

Hello, just hoping someone can help me. I am travelling with easy jet to rhodes in May with my then 17month old. I have booked her a seat back as it's a late flight and she doesn't really sleep on us so she can get some shut eye. She therefore needs a car seat, easy jet state it has to fit in their seat space of 42cm but I can't find any seats of this size? Has anyone been on easy jet with a car seat? Which one did they use? Also she would still probably fit in her reward facing baby seat, has anyone taken these on a plane? I know she can't be in it take off or landing but can they be buckled in with the lap belt and do they fit? (Mine measures 43cm! Aghhh) thanks so much in advance for your help!

Yes I took our Britax Exlipse on an Easy Jet flight when my dd was about 18 months. It fit fine and it is one of the narrowest car seats IIRC.

It was forward facing though.

I can't help with which car seat is best however just want to point out that it needs to be a forward-facing car seat.

Why do you need a car seat? For the sake of 4 hrs I definitely wouldn't buy a new one. Just lift the arm rests and lie her down between you.

You don't have to take a car seat.

Agree - she has to be on your lap for take off and landing anyway. during the flight just lay her down between you.
