Currently investigating Dubai as an option for a 2 week holiday with a 6 month old. Can anyone recommend any baby friendly resorts where we can spend some time relaxing around a pool etc as a family? Thanks!

We stayed at the JA Ocean View Hotel with our six month old.

Big rooms, staff were very kind to DD, yummy buffet breakfast, shaded loungers, shaded kids pool, nice main pool, loads of restaurants along the beach who couldn't have been more welcoming of a pram, plus there was a Boots&Mothercare five minutes walk away, and a metro stop about 10 minutes away.

Was good for us, although it was only a four night stop over.

We went 2 years ago with a 2 year old and are going back again with a 4 year old! We stayed at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi. Its a smallish hotel for Dubai standards but lovely and very child friendly.

Hi, my partner and I recently traveled from the UK to Brisbane with our 7/8 month old. I've created a blog post with some tips that we learnt, it might be of use to you...

Dubai is extremely child friendly! They love babies here and your little one will get plenty of attention from people in shops, restaurants etc. Just a quick word of warning, sometimes people take pictures of children here without asking first. I'm okay with it, although I do still find it strange, but if it's an issue for you, you may want to bring a large muslin cloth to cover op your baby when out and about.
