Back in England now, although not home yet. Called at BIL & SIL's house on way home. They were going out tonight and planning on taking baby out with them. Baby has a bit of an upset tummy (though not poorly) though so they were having to umm and ah about it, so offered to baby sit. Having no family close by they were obviously happy to have the chance - so satying here tonight and will do rest of journey tomorrow.

Anyway...holiday was great.

The house was ideal and in a good location, an hour from the tunnel. Easy drive down main roads. The town had a lovely boulangerie on our street which DH and MDD went to every morning for fresh bread for breakfast. Also had big supermarket selling good range of food and wine - perfect for evening meal selection, as we ate in most nights as easier with DD. House was clean, good size and lots of room.

Weather has been good, especially for October. No rain during the days, and very mild.

Did lots of trips out. Went to Vimy Ridge and Azincourt for the war memorials. Visited Le Touquet for the shopping, and Berck for the beach. Went to Bolougne to go to Nausicaa which was really good (been before) - Bolougne itself was still a dump though!

And we ventured out for a day at Disneyland Paris as a special suprise for DD. Multimap had said it would be 2.5 hours but it took us 3.5 hours on way there, and 3 hours on way back. Was worth it though, and we got over 9.5 hours in the park. Didn't tell DD as before we went we had said it was to far. So first she knew was when she saw the gates in the distance - her face and exitement were magical! Had a great time there on the rides. She loves her roller coasters

So, back to normality tomorrow, school Monday and work for me on Tuesday.

How long is it till June?!

So, anything exciting been happening since last Saturday? Have I missed anything?

Multimap is a liar where French journeys are concerned IME hula - we use the Michelin one now.
Glad you had a good time - have not yet made it to Azincourt yet but hear it is really good.
Hot news if you have not already seen is that Baby Boy Bubble has arrived safely

Yes, seen Bubble's news (lovely) and a bit more now - got some time on BIL's laptop last night

The museum at Azincourt is worth going to. It isn't big but has 3 short shows about the battles, and there are examples of weapons, armour and face masks to try.

The travel to DLP was worth it

she already looks about a foot taller than your last set of holiday snaps!

She's suddenly shot up - grown about 5cm in 3 months, and her new school uniform dress is already looking much shorter!
