From looking at brochures, some resorts are open from April, some from May. so it really depends where you are flying from, with which airline, and tour operator. Temperature will be around 18-21C, so may not be sunbathing and swimming in the pool/sea weather. It might even be wet.

If you are staying in a town there will be more things open (shops, bars, restaurants) than in a small resort which may almost completely shut down and not open until May.

I went to Kas near Antalya at Easter and it was beautiful. All the flowers were blooming and it was pleasantly warm. I swam in the sea every day and although it was a bit old it wasn't freezing. The restaurants and bars were all open and looking for customers! X

Bodrum is a working town so there will be plenty open at that time. If you are thinking of any of the resorts around the Bodrum Peninsula though the season starts at the beginning of May and before then it will be very quiet with most bars and restaurants closed.

The weather should be nice but it wont be sunbathing weather and it gets really quite chilly at night. If you find a swimming pool open, which you may not do, it will be freezing as will the sea.

I love Bodrum in April, I used to live there. It depends on what kind of holiday you want though as most touristy things wont be up and running.

Sootica, it says Icmeler, Bodrum City - think there may be an indoor pool if all else fails.

Given what's happened in Tunisia, I must say I am a bit nervous about Turkey. Anything to worry about it?

Icmeler near to Bodrum is a very tiny place, you wont find much there in April, it is very quiet even in summer time. An indoor pool would be good though, it would be the only pool I would go into in April anyway.

What happened in Tunisia is terrible but it has no relevance to Turkey. Unfortunately nowhere is 100% safe in the world any more but if we worried too much we wouldn't leave our own homes.

I would happily go to Turkey any time.
