short(ish) haul for sun in early April?

can fly up to about 4 hours. definitely need some sun and warmth - been to Lanzarote so would be nice to do somewhere else.

budget of about 2.5k for 4 - any recommendations?

I think in early April it's the Canaries or Egypt for sun.

Try Tenerife? I love the Canary Islands anyway, but Tenerife is probably the one I have visited most. (going again on Friday!)

There is a lot to see - and do - and a the resorts are all quite different to each other.
