Summer luxury holiday ideas.

Please give us some ideas for a nice summer holiday. TTC so this maybe the last time in a few years to go out of Europe. DS will be 9, DP is the active sort. So looking for nice views, beach but access to cycling, walks or anything else active.

Please give us ideas. carribean sounds nice but it's is hurricane season in the summer?

Florida keys? always less than 100 and has a nice breeze. west coast of Canada?

You would be OK in July in the Caribbean but it is more humid and hot. Florida is pretty hot in the summer too.

I would look at Boston and Cape Cod and north of Boston. I would also consider San Francisco and the beach towns south of SF down to LA. South Africa is also OK weatherwise in our summer and it is a pretty sporty country. Canada and Alaska might be worth a look too, especially the west coast of Canada. My top pick would be Zambia and Botswana for a safari. 9 might be too young for a walking safari but there are some good family safari trips out there. Best time to go in July/August.

The earlier in the summer you go to Caribbean/Mexico/Florida, the better. Later in July the weather will start to turn and you will encounter more cloud/showers/humidity etc.

July is a great time to go to Borneo, Vancouver, California, safari and I think Brazil too if you want to visit the Pantanal region.

If you want activities AND relaxation, try Swiss and Austrian ski resorts in the summer. Lake swimming, walking, mountains, paragliding etc etc.

Lots of ideas there thank you, I have come across Nielsen holidays and club med. thinking of carribean or Mexico or closer to home turkey or Croatia.

Anyone had any experience of these.thank you Davros did the alps last summer, lake annecy I. France.it was brilliant, nice child friendly cycling and swimming in the lake. We are skiing at Easter and did so at Christmas, We keen to try something new. Please keep them comming.
