Which of these Venice hotels?

DH and I are off for 2 childfree nights to Venice in September as DS is on a school trip. I'm very excited as I have never been there and it's on my bucket list, so excited in fact that I have already reserved two (cancellable) hotels and I need some help deciding which to stay at.

They both have canal views - I know it may be noisy, but it may be our only time there and I want to see the canal each morning (plus I wear ear plugs.

So this one:
3 star Luxury canal side room approx £400 for two nights, gets good reviews on trip advisor :

Please help me decide.

Antico Doge hands down. Know them both well . Antico Doge is smaller more personal and rooms are nicer IMO. The Rialto has the position on the GC but not all rooms are top knotch . Unless you go for a jnr suite on the grand Canal.
getting to the Rialto if using public transport is easier but if you are going for 2 nights presume you won't have a 20kg suitcase in which case the AD is a short walk. Let me know if you want any more info ....

Thanks Rosa - I was hoping that the Antico Doge would win as it's cheaper and the room looks nicer !
DH has persuaded me to go hand luggage only, so it will be very easy to carry around.
How come you know so much about Venetian hotels (nosy) ?
