Hi mums,
Wanting to do on our first long haul holiday and really don't know where to go? Was thinking mexico, cape verde or Maldives.
We are T-total so wont be drinking/partying as we have the little one too.
We want a place with a decent beach, pool and plenty to do with the toddler in the hotel. not fussed about sightseeing as long as we have good food reviews and can relax!

Really hope you can help? xx

First, check the waether for these destinations re rainy season, hurricane season etc. that may narrow down your option as may flight duration.
I think the key thing for you is the 'plenty to do with toddler in hotel' requirement. Some hotels will have kids pools some won't, some will have kids clubs or crèches that will take a 2.5 year old, others won't. If you are happy with glorious beaches, sea, pools, then any of them will tick the box I would have thought. If you want more than that then choose your hotel carefully.
Cape Verde not much to do outside hotels but you aren't bothered about that. Mexico lots to do outside hotels, I took my children last year and younger toddler age groups were getting ratty in the heat and it was pool,or beach there were not other options at our hotel for children of that age group, although II think sensatori are good for toddlers. My kids had an brilliant time in Mexico but they are older.
Maldives obviously snorkelling, diving, sea, pool, some hotels will have kids facilities at the more luxurious end of the scale.
Have a wonderful time!
