Brittany- best beaches for young children rockpooling, calm sheltered bays/waters for swimming?

We're heading back to Brittany this summer. Last year we stayed in Quiberon and Trinite-sir-mer both were outstanding (I thought) for lots of little sheltered beaches bays where the dcs 2&4 could swim rock pool etc. I'd like to try a different area this year but still really want the beaches to be as good. Last year we had several beaches within walking/short drive and were totally spoilt- I'm just wondering if elsewhere in Brittany is similar. Thanks.

south brittany is our favourite area, partly because the weather is slightly better. the nevez area might be worth looking at.

I live near Vannes and am happy to help with this area if you like the sound of it. The Presqu'ile du Rhuys would by my 1st stop, but ask away & I'll try and help!

Bay de Trespasses is beautiful. The Atlantic coast is always quite choppy though.

Thanks all.

jen that looks lovely- could you tell me a bit more about it. What are the beaches like? Are they quite sheltered/calm? Are there places to eat crepes etc? The campsite there looks lovely!

trinite is in south brittany where vannes is though. isn't that where you've been before zippy? its a great area.

Trinite sur Mer is about half an hour north of Vannes, Quiberon about 40 minutes. The Presqu'ile is about 20 minutes South West, and a bit more sheltered because the Golfe du Morbihan protects it a bit Smile

Have you looked at Carnac? Loads of little beaches away from the main beAch. We just love it there

St lunaire is lovely.
