Am I nuts to be thinking about this now?

We're off to Florida for my partners sisters wedding in a couple of weeks. Me, my partner and our two kids (age 4 and 16 months) are staying in a hotel with the rest of the wedding party - it's one room with two double beds.....problem is we stayed at my dad's for the weekend recently - all in one room and it was a total nightmare!
The baby woke up and basically kept the rest of us awake for most of the night. We're were all absolutely knackered the next day - now I'm really worried about the holiday. It's a really big holiday for us, we've not been abroad before with the kids and probably not likely to again any time soon.
A friend suggested cancelling the hotel (have e-mailed about cancelling policy but they haven't got back to me yet)and getting a villa instead so she can have her own room but it all seems so last minute and I don't know how to go about finding a villa - saw some for rental on e-bay but not sure if this is a good idea...
any advice would be much appreciated...

What about putting the baby cot in the bathroom at night time

Making sure of course that there is enough room around the cot that nothing can be reached

or putting the cot sort of round the corner of the room if it is L shaped

Yes,do the bathroom thing.
I have suffered this on many occasions, and not always possible to get adjoining rooms, but bathroom works ace.
My baby will sleep when it is dark, luckily.
Sort it out,or it will ruin your holiday,

yes, the bathroom thing sounds like a really good idea - I think a lot of the reason she wouldn't go back to sleep at my dads was because she could see all of us and obviously thought something interesting was going on..... hopefully the cot will fit into the bathroom and we'll all get a decent nights sleep!

maybe call the hotel and check size of bathroom. we tried this once and the travel cot couldnt quite squeeze between the basin and toilet.

we are doing the 4 in a room thing too, but for a weekend in guernsey. its not going to be fun!

have you looked at holiady rentals.com? they have a fab selection of properties.

The jetlag may help you. I usually find that when we first arrive in Florida everyone is just begging to go to bed and we all sleep really well. You will, however, be awake very early.
