Flight to Southern Spain in school summer hols - when best to book?

I'm a total newbie to booking holidays! Is it better to book now for flights or could they get cheaper nearer the time? Or do they sell out or get more expensive?

Any tips for getting cheapest flights? I am looking via skyscanner, and prices are about £200 per person. Was hoping for cheaper Blush, am I being realistic?

Need to go from Gatwick/Heathrow to Malaga (ish). Ta!

Book now, if you go with any of the cheap airlines (i'm thinking easy jet) the prices go up and up the closer you get to the holidays. I don't think you will get much lower that £200

Is that for weekend flights? Midweek tend to be cheaper.

Ah, ok. Yes, we are looking at easyjet, and yes, midweek flights. So £200 sounds like the best it's going to get then? Gulp. There are six of us! Thank you Smile

I booked ours to mallorca with easy jet about a month ago and paid £560 for 3 of us, so I think £200 each is probably about right.

yup. No point in waiting. Prices will only increase as the flights get fuller.

Sometimes you can get late deals on package hols but it's rarer nowadays. Particularly in summer hols.

have you tried flying out with one airline and returning with another? That can work well sometimes (am doing that next weekend).

Don't forget to clear your cookies as the airline may put the prices up when you've checked flights a few times.

Just coming on to say what potbellyroast said about clearing your cookies.

And yes, book now.
