I really want to treat my DD and DP to a trip to Disneyland Paris, but do you think at 2yrs 11 months she would be too young to appreciate it? Anyone been with a child of that age?

No, I've been with a child of exactly that age and it was amazing, they can go on all the small movie themed rides, watch the parades and Disney junior live, appreciate and be excited by the characters and even go on bigger rides like pirates of the carribean and the haunted mansion...

Go for it!

Yes and (much) younger

We have always had a blast and there is lots for them to enjoy.

Worth have a disney filmathon in the lead up to Going. Definitely include Mickey mouse clubhouse, Cinderella, toy story (2 for youngsters), lilo and stitch (if you do the studio's park.)

get one of there autograph books. helps small children to interact with the characters

Oh good…I'm glad that it wasn't a crazy idea. I'm excited now! Any hotel tips?

I've stayed in most of the ones onsite and I'd most recommend hotel New York... You'll have characters in your hotel lobby Grin

No characters at the New York at the moment. Hotel entirely depends on budget.

I love the sequoia, it is the cheapest within easy walking distance of the parks. It's really cosy in winter and the evening buffet is fantastic. have stayed here lots and am booked again for next year.

Newport is not great with pushchairs (there is a lift situation between the main lobby and the restaurant level). I've stayed there twice and im not a massive fan

I have heard the Cheyenne you can walk from but it must be about a 20 min walk. I hear good things about the New York (especially the beakfast)but can never justify the extra cost on the sequoia. same with the Disneyland Hotel. However I should add that we have mobility issues to deal with and the sequoia rooms work better for us otherwise I probably would have given either a go

At the cheaper end of the scale I would pick one of the associated hotels over the Sante Fe (which never gets good reports). Many years ago I stayed at the my explorers. It was fantastic, good value for money and the food was great. Only reason I haven't been back is because I didn't fancy the shuttle buses either with a double buggy or latterly a wheelchair.

Thanks so much for all the advice Boochunky and Toffee. Can't wait to go now!

No characters at the New York? Really?

If that's true Id stay at Newport Bay... You'll have a fab time!

Make sure you get a parade spot on Main Street lots of time before it starts! Grin

Apparently so. Someone was complaining about it on the dlrp magic forum'S and meet and greets are no longer listed on the hotel website.
