Hotel baby sitting services

We are travelling for the first time with our 5 month old son to Mauritius, and are wondering about using the hotel baby sitting service. I am assuming that they don't have the equivalent of a CRB check or qualifications, but has any had any experience of these services before and any advice?

Took my children to mauritius and we used the kids club which was good but there were not any babysitting facilities at the hotel for younger ones and In fact no babies or toddlers in the hotel or on the flight that I remember. You could post on tripadvisor forum with name of hotel and ask if anyone has used the babysitting?

Also I wouldn't assume they dint have the equivalent of crb or qualifications, they probably do, you just need to find out what they are! They do UK GCSEs and a levels in mauritius and many come here to uni, so qualifications generally are quite similar
