Im not a single mum, merely a mum who would like to take the kids on holiday, or just get away by myself. All the sites I find are for "single parent holidays". Anyone had experiences with doing it alone or suggested companies to go with? I just want somewhere I can chat with people in a complex and the kids have fun and I can have some me time.

I have used the Family Adventure Holiday Company but this might be a bit too active for you. You do get the chance to meet other parents and get some down-time too.

I don't think single parent holidays offer anything different to what you are looking for though. Single parents aren't all desperate saddo's.
It's a recognition that without other adults a holiday isn't that relaxing.

I haven't ever done an organised holiday apart from a cruise. That was a genius idea. I got to relax by a pool, lie on several different beaches and see the sights around Europe without the worry of a lost child or babysitters in the evening.
