Have fond memories of a pre children holidays to Sorrento a few years ago. Would love to take my children (5 and 3) but not sure what it has to offer children. Anyone able to shed any light please?

Yes, we went when dc were young, and had such a good time we went back two or three times. The children were happy at the hotel pool, really, refusing any outings, even to Pompeii.

Then we would wander around the town, go for coffee and ice cream, and go out for dinners at some of the side street restaurants, which were much cheaper and tastier than the ones in the main square. There is also a tennis court with a cafe which sells very cheap wine Smile

Brilliant, thank you. Do you mind me asking which hotel you stayed in. Pre children we stayed in the Hilton but not sure budget will stretch and put off my longish walk into town with toddler in tow!

Gosh, I know it was one right on the coast with amazing views over to Vesuvius, but struggling with the name - might've been the Grand Hotel Royal?? Very nice and the rooms are huge so ideal for family. Probably out with my price range now, but I was working more then!

We were just saying the other day we'd like to go back.
