Plan my holiday!

I'm going round in circles!

We are planning to go away for 2 weeks in July with DD who will be almost 3 so don't want a really long flight or somewhere ridiculously hot as even I struggle with the likes of Cyprus in peak season. It's our first time taking her abroad and I'm struggling with the most child friendly resorts etc.

Essential information- we are flying from Leeds Bradford, can spend about 2k on the whole holiday and want somewhere fairly lively.

We've done Majorca, Crete, the Algarve, Costa Del Sol etc and I would go back, but DH wants to try somewhere new. Any ideas?

French Atlantic Coast? Kinderhotels in Austria?

Heels99 · 01/03/2015 18:44

Menorca is nice and child friendly
Turkey is grab but hot
Greece also fab but hot

Thanks, Menorca is on the list, as is Faliraki in Greece. I can do 'hot' but I can't do sweat dripping down your legs stood waiting for the bus hot like it was in Cyprus when we went. I kept thinking I'd come on my period unexpectedly Hmm

Costa Brava ? Me and DH were in Sitges last September - easy to get to - loads of families there- mainly Spanish families. Some great beaches.

France ? Fly/drive to the Atlantic coast. La Rochelle or further south.

The west coast of Spain - San Sebastien etc. I haven't been but it's on my list. I bet it isn't too hot in summer there- probably just right.

I would suggest Brittany. Lovely weather, not too hot. We did a static caravan holiday on a camping site and the children loved it. I know it is not so convenient from Yorkshire though. If you take the ferry, you have your own car which is great. I no longer want very hot summer holidays. You could look at September or October and then I would look at the south of France for something different.

Faliraki? The kiddy-drunk place? Are you sure?

July in Greece will be hot, in the 30s.
