Ok so I'm just wanting someone to say yip go for it lol
Fancy going off for a weeks holiday all inclusive to the canaries this easter. Husband can't get time off work.

Was thinking of going just me and my two children aged 8&10.
No problem travelling/airport etc worst part of our journey would be travelling the 5.5hrs to our nearest airport.

Anyone regularly go off with just the kids?
Another thing that goes through my head is what would happen if I fell ill..
Thanks

Yip go for it!
LPs do it all the time. And at 8 and 10 your DC will be fairly responsible.

Yep. In your shoes I'd do it.

Do it! As a single parent I took DS abroad quite a few times, and it always went really well. As a result, I always felt so much more competent, confident and capable, and DS did too Smile

I've always done it because I get 7 weeks leave and DH is self employed.
Over the year me nd the boys have had several skiing holidys, back packing holidays, going from city to its and bech holidays. Now that they are older ( one at 19) I sometimes go with one of them or with him nd his girlfriend. I also go way by myself or with friends.

If you are a generally a well person you should be fine and n 8 and 10 year old would be ok to make phone calls if needed!

Yes definitely. I used to regularly to take my eldest two for a week in Tenerife over February half term whilst my husband did a week skiing. It was great.

Not really a needy person I quite reguarly go on holiday with friends whilst Hubbie at home working so!
I'm excited!!! X
