Baby car seats

My ds is twenty one weeks old and I noticed today that his feet were almost touching the passanger seat when he was in his car seat. I do not think that his car seat will last him till he is nine months old. He is a very long baby, but only weighs thirteen pounds, and group one seats are meant to be from 20lbs. Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do?

as long as his head is below the top of the carseat, it's still ok for him. my ds was just about sitting crosslegged in his but he wasn't big enough for the next stage.

Yes he will have to bend his legs. He is much too light for the next stage. Or the alternative is to buy one of those forward and backward facing seats that stays in the car as they tend to be roomier than the ones with the carry handles which I assume is what you have got.
