Just about to book a holiday near Ronda with our three kids who will be 9,6 and 1.

I'm excited but worried it will be too hot?

Any tips/advice gratefully received!

We've been but Easter(April) time. Was lovely then!

Having been to south of France/ Italy in August when it was v. hot (in upper 30s ) I would say the main things are to get up earlier and go anywhere you want to visit, then midday lunch and proper bed siesta followed by tv/ipad inside,so not out again until after 4-5pm.Give yourselves time to acclimitise. Our Italian friends also strongly believed the kids shouldn't swim for a couple of hours after eating.

We bought small individual fans (battery operated) that clipped to bedside table for kids and put a bowl of ice in front so the fan air was cool. The rooms had ceiling fans and shutters which were needed.
Obviously make sure the kids are drinking lots of water.

We loved trips up to the mountain villages and Seville- although not not sure if I would do Seville in July. The area was beautiful and I would definitely go back.

As long as you have pool then its fine. If you dont have a pool I wouldnt consider it. We've been in August and it actually needs to be hot if they are wet and in and out of the pool all day. Just be a dragon with the suncream. Its lovely round there. Check out the nearest waterpark because thats all our kids wanted to do if they left the villa.

it could easily reach 35C to 40C. Could they cope with that?
