At Bristol- parking or any other tips?

We are braving At Bristol on Sunday fully aware that it's half term and will be extremely busy... Can anyone recommend somewhere nearby that's reasonably priced? Don't mind a bit of a walk if it's cheaper than the £12 I think it'll cost in the car park nearby!
Any other tips on the day would be appreciated- is there a 'route' we should follow to get the most from our trip? Will have three adults, two children and a pushchair containing a bolting toddler Shock
TIA

I'd park in Wapping Wharf car park ( behind m shed musuem ). It's about £3 all day at the weekend and very close to @ Bristol.

We are also going but on Saturday. I'm worried it will be busy too and I have a bolting toddler plus two easily distracted older children.

On a Sunday, lots of on street parking is free in central Bristol. If I were you, I'd plan to aim for Wapping wharf but keep my eyes peeled in case I got lucky on street.

We often park near library / cathedral on street on a Sunday but getting a space is hit and miss. There is a pay and display though just behind the Environment Agency offices opposite the library. Think WW option would be cheaper though.

Thanks all. I'm hoping it won't be too busy and we will aim to get there as early as possible. Will head for wrapping wharf and hope form the best!
I can't remember the layout but does anyone know if it's best to do it in reverse/ upside down etc if we get there as it opens?

I wouldn't say there is any particular route, it works well in that you can wander round the things that interest you without having to follow a particular course.
Check what shows etc are on, they are very good.
Kids are free with blue peter badges.
Allow about two hours.
It is ver good, have fun.
