planning a nice week away somewhere warm (not blistering!) 3 hour flight from midlands?
secluded villa with private pool, close to coast, near lovely eateries, not bothered about nightlife or kids clubs, beautiful interesting surroundings...

went to crete a couple of years ago and stayed in a lovely villa which ticked all our boxes,,, however it is a rule... we never go to the same place twice!!!

help!

Fuerteventura is the loveliest of the Canaries because it has sandy beaches. There are still a few villas and flights available. I have just booked a month in June. Carreljo is one of the larger towns.
Go on Owners Direct if you want to organise it yourself. Make sure there is a telephone number to call and a UK bank to pay into.
Or try James Villas or Villa plus if you have lots of cash.

Or Gomera, which is one of the smallest Canary Islands. Casa Canaries will find you something luxurious.

South of France, near Carcasonne. The area is beautiful. It it is Cathar country. Lots to do and see. There is a beautiful Villa, I think it is called four winds at St Pierre des Champs for around £2000 a week.
Further South, down towards Spain is also lovely. The Town of Ceret is a Artists colony and has some beautiful villas for rent. I love anything near Ceret.

May/June is a wonderful time to visit Andalucia - lovely weather and the wildflowers are beautiful at that time of year! Plus fantastic food (our kids love the tapas!) and loads of interesting places to visit. There are plenty of villas in the countryside but near the coast on Owners Direct or Homeaway.

Wow! Thank you all... I'll have to start googling! Great to see so many places that sound promising! Thanks all! X
