pushchair and car seat for a newborn

I am thinking to buy a pushchair and car seat for a newborn. Car seat for Nissan Micra 2000. But no idea what type of car seat would fit in my car (I didn't get handbook when I bought my car) and what kind of pushchair would be better for newborn. Any ideas?

I had a pushchair where the baby could lie flat because it converted to a small pram. You altered the back and footwell to a different position when you wanted it to become a pushchair. I had a car sear fixed in the car and never took it out. I moved the baby! This is old hat now as everyone struggles to fix the car seat every time!
