Quite fancy a holiday in November, but where to go??

We are myself, dh ds3 and ds5 months when we go. We would like some sunshine, and need something to look forward to! We are happy to go sc but equally happy to go ai as long as the food is of a fairly high standard. We need to go somewhere where there is s fairly high standard of medical care (so unfortunately not Cape verde, unless someone can tell me differently?). We do not want to be somewhere too touristy, or high rise and would love a beach as well as pools. Any ideas lovely ladies?

I suppose we could always go in February instead, avoiding half term of course?

You will have to think long haul for this. Europe is too cold, Caribean and Florida will be too stormy.

Turkey and Cyprus will be a hot and miss.

Depending on your views Dubai etc may be right, I know I would never convince DH to go for fun to any such country.

Hawaii is nice but it is a 24 hour journey with at least 1 change of plane.

Friends went to the Seychells with their toddler.

Thanks very much for replying, will look at those, although the plane journeys put me off a bit, maybe if I make it October or March the weather closer to hone might be more favourable?

Canary Islands have some quieter spots and should be warm before oct half term

Sicily in October is my suggestion.

Sicily in early October is my suggestion.

Bloody ipad. Sorry for double post.

Morroco would be good for late March but remember Easter is early next year.

Could you stretch to late April or late September/early October? You chances for short haul are better then. Often independent schools have two weeks October half term, so starting mid-month.

I would say the canaries for some sun.
We went to Florida in oct half term and the weather was lovely.
We did hit the tail end of hurricane Sandy though.
It didn't spoil our holiday.

If you are doing 24 hour flights, there is Australia and NZ too (in addition to Hawaii). February will be peak of summer in both countries. November would be quite pleasant too. High standards of hygiene and medical care, speaks English.

We have done Caribbean several times with dd now 3 since She was 5 months old. Flights have not been a problem. I find Caribbean hotels much higher standard than North Africa.
Cuba is said to have a 'health tourism' market, so one would presume that their healthcare is good standard- depends on your needs. Was fab with dc.
