Lanzarote over half term - top tips?

Just booked! Staying at Seaside Los Jameos Playa in Puerta del Carmen next week. Never done Canaries before. Any tips either for the hotel itself or good days out on the island? Boys are 6 and 8. Thanks!

volcano is interesting. it will be cold at night and hopefully warm during the day. shorts/tshirts or fleece/jeans

thx. planning to take plenty of layers in case. can be hit or miss in feb i've heard but still a change of scenery!

Just be aware that pools, waterparks and sea will be very cold. Kids often don't mind but if you have suitable water clothing for them you might think about taking it. Lanzarote is lovely - enjoy!!
